So life is monotonany at it's best, and I'm too caught up in the whole 'waking' 'working' 'running' 'sleeping' cycle to do anything particularly artistic. I'm now working at an arts and crafts retailer and I'm wholly uninspired. I bought myself a fresh set of watercolors roundabout a month ago which I haven't so much as opened, along with corresponding pad.

I got photoshop, which is a start to something fresh? Or maybe it's not, it really depends on how you use it... I've seen some very non-fresh material emerge from that.

This brings me to the eternal digital editing debate--

Photographs should have merit indepedently without the aid of any digital editing.

Although, taking photos digitally sometimes leaves them lacking in qualities you might find in "authentic" photography.

Yet anyone can take a crap photo and play around with it for 10 minutes on software, allowing it to metamorphosis into something more aesthetically desirable.

... Maybe I should just look into getting an old 35mm with complimentary darkroom?

Or just paint more...
